Gift timing and birthday values

You can give March one gift per day. On a normal day, the relationship values are Loved +20, Liked +10, Neutral +3, and Disliked or Hated +0. A birthday adds a flat +20, giving Loved +40, Liked +30, Neutral +23, and Disliked or Hated +20.

Use the Calendar to plan Spring 16, then choose an item you can replace without consuming a rare museum or crafting resource.

How his romance route progresses

Spoiler warning: the rest of this section covers heart events, dating, and proposal.

• 2 hearts — Surprise Me: March's early event is Surprise Me at the Blacksmith.
• 4 hearts — Many Hands Make Light Work: Olric sends the forge letter. After reaching 4 hearts, March sends Iron Ingots x4 on the player's birthday each year until later relationship-state mail changes the gift.
• 6 hearts — Shield of the Realm: March sends a letter inviting the player to the forge for part-time work.
• 8 hearts: after reaching 8 hearts, completing the earlier events, and reaching Mines Level/Floor 60, leave the farmhouse the next day with Olric to start the event. Choose dating or best friends.

The 1.0 route continues beyond the old Early Access heart ceiling into proposal and wedding content. The Romance Guide covers the shared relationship rules.

Birthday and proposal planning

After the 8-heart route, the birthday progression uses Refined Stone x10. At 10 hearts while dating, use the Engagement Ring to propose at the Summit. The ring route requires Diamond x2, Mistril Ingot x4, Gold Ingot x4, and Dragon-Forged Core x1, with Blacksmithing Level 30; its recipe appears the next day after reaching 10 hearts while dating.

Keep rare ores for progression until the item is truly spare. March's birthday is a good relationship checkpoint, but it does not justify delaying the tools, ingots, or Dragon-Forged materials needed by the wider save.
