Fields of Mistria Dragon-Forged Core: Recipe & Location

The Dragon-Forged Core is a late-game crafting and progression material. The route has two separate gates: first complete the Floor 90 Magic Key route to light the Dragon Forge, then complete The Dragonsworn Tablet after Juniper and Eiland reach 8 hearts to unlock the Dragon-forging material recipes.

Reach the Ancient Ruins

The Ancient Ruins are the fifth Mines biome, covering Floors 81-100. Ruins progression begins after the Ruins Seal route opens this section of the Mines. The Mines Guide is the broader floor-progression reference.

Complete the Floor 90 Magic Key route

The first gate is Find The Magic Key on Floor 90:

1. Enter the northwest room of the Priestess Quarters.
2. Light the southwest Dragon Forge with Dragon's Breath.
3. Visit the Library.
4. Offer a Temple Flower and a Marigold.
5. Grow the Seed of Balance in the Floor 90 Field Room.
6. Use the resulting Magic Key to open the door to Floors 91-100.

The Seed of Balance takes 4 days, needs watering like a normal crop, and can be advanced with Growth. Keep it in the Floor 90 Field Room rather than moving it to the normal farm. See the Floor 90 Seed of Balance walkthrough for that route.

Unlock the Dragon-forging recipes

The second gate is The Dragonsworn Tablet. Reach 8 hearts with both Juniper and Eiland, view both 8-heart events, then talk to Juniper and read the tablet. Lighting the forge is not the same as unlocking the material recipe, so completing only the Floor 90 route is not enough.

Dragon-Forged Core recipe

Gather the following materials at the Dragon Forge:

• Monster Core x5
• Mistril Ingot x1
• Pink Diamond x1
• Ancient Firefly x1
• Medium Essence Stone x1

The recipe takes 50 minutes and requires Blacksmithing Level 30. The finished Core has a base sell value of 1,020 Tesserae, but its progression uses make selling a poor default choice.

Where to get each material

• Monster Core: Enchanterns and Flame Spirits in the Mines.
• Mistril Ingot: Mistril Ore from Ancient Ruins Floors 81-99; 10 Mistril Ore → 1 Mistril Ingot; Blacksmithing Level 8; 20 minutes.
• Pink Diamond: Rocks in Ancient Ruins Floors 81-99.
• Ancient Firefly: Ancient Ruins Floors 81-99; common, all seasons, any weather, all day. The Ancient Firefly guide has the dedicated checklist.
• Medium Essence Stone: Stone Refinery recipe using 20 Stone and 50 Essence, taking 20 minutes; it can also appear in Mines/Abyssal chests.

Final Seal and later uses

Spoiler warning: the next section covers the Final Seal and later Dragon-Forged progression.

Breaking the Final Seal requires Dragon-Forged Fang, Dragon-Forged Horn, Dragon-Forged Core, and Dragon-Forged Powder. That unlocks the Western Ruins north and Seridia's progression; continue with the Seridia Guide when you are ready.

Keep an extra Core in mind for the Bell Tower repair, the Engagement Ring recipe, Seridia's request, and the Espresso Machine. The Engagement Ring uses Diamond x2, Mistril Ingot x4, Gold Ingot x4, and Core x1, with Blacksmithing Level 30; its recipe appears the next day after reaching 10 hearts while dating. Seridia's request uses one Core and rewards 1,000 Tesserae plus 20 Renown. The Espresso Machine uses Gold Ingot x20, Diamond x10, and Core x1.
