How to Light the Dragon Forge
The Dragon Forge is in the southwest room on Floor 90. Lighting it is one step in the Find the Magic Key quest, not a separate crafting detour.
Use Dragon's Breath once on the forge to light or activate it. If you need the broader Dragon-Forged material route after this story step, continue with the Dragon-Forged Core guide instead of repeating the full recipe here.
Where to Get Temple Flower and Marigold
The Priestess Tablet requires two items for this quest:
- 1 Temple Flower: Look in the Deep Woods.
- 1 Marigold: Marigold is usually a Summer forage or crop, but Deep Woods provides a year-round source.
Deep Woods can save you from waiting for Summer for a Marigold. The important requirement is one of each item at the Priestess Tablet; do not substitute a larger offering.
How to Get the Seed of Balance
After you explore the required rooms, light the Dragon Forge, inspect the Library, and offer the Temple Flower and Marigold at the Priestess Tablet, the quest progresses to the Seed of Balance portion.
The Seed of Balance is a quest item. It is not a normal seed that you can place anywhere on the farm, so keep it available for the Floor 90 objective.
How to Grow the Seed of Balance
Plant the Seed of Balance in the Field Room on Floor 90. It only grows there.
Water it like a normal crop until it matures. Its normal growth time is 4 days. Growth Spell can take the seed directly to its mature stage if you want to finish the objective immediately.
When the seed is mature, harvest it to receive the Magic Key.
Where to Use the Magic Key
Take the Magic Key to the locked door in the Priestess Quarters on Floor 90. Use the key there to open the door and continue the Mines story.
The key is the progression item for the next section. It is not a general-purpose key for unrelated locks, so keep it for the Priestess Quarters door until the quest advances.
What You Unlock After Floor 90
Opening the locked door with the Magic Key gives you access to Floors 91-100. This continues the Ancient Ruins portion of the Mines story.

Tip
Deep Woods can save you from waiting for Summer for a Marigold, because the verified route provides a year-round source.
Note
The Seed of Balance grows only in the Floor 90 Field Room; do not move it to the normal farm.
