Use crops as predictable early income, fishing and foraging as flexible gap-fillers, cooking when recipes and a kitchen make processing worthwhile, and mining when resources and progression matter together. Keep materials needed for tools, quests, crafting, and the museum.

Build early income with crops

Crops provide the most predictable baseline in the early game. A small field is easier to maintain than an oversized one and still creates money to reinvest in seeds, tools, and bag space.

Fast crops are useful when you need cash before the first week is over. Regrowing crops become more attractive once the higher seed cost is manageable. The best early pattern is the one that produces income without consuming the entire day.

Fill spare time with fishing and foraging

Fishing turns spare stamina and rainy-day time into saleable items while also producing treasure and museum candidates. It fills the gaps around farming instead of requiring a separate full-time routine.

Foraging has almost no input cost, so it is useful while moving between requests, story objectives, and other activities. Keep the first copy of useful fish, bugs, artifacts, and plants for the museum before selling duplicates.

Check cooking economics

Cooking becomes more important once you have recipes and a kitchen. Processing can create margins that raw selling misses, but it is not safe to assume every cooked item is always more profitable.

Compare the value of the finished dish with the value of its ingredients. This turns cooking into a decision based on the recipe you actually have, rather than a blanket rule that every ingredient should be processed.

Sell without blocking progression

The shipping bin has a second strategic role because shipping contributes to Town Renown. A sale can therefore advance the town even when it is not the largest immediate Tesserae payout.

Mining grows in value because a single run can produce ore, gems, Essence-related resources, artifacts, and progression. Deeper resources can become more valuable, but do not liquidate everything: keep materials needed for tools, quests, crafting, and museum sets.

Late-game income shifts toward higher-quality animal products, stronger cooking margins, deeper mine resources, and mature farm infrastructure. Build the money routine around your current progression stage instead of trying to copy an endgame farm too early.

Tip

Think in progression stages instead of searching for one permanent best method.

Note

The biggest sale number is not always the best choice if another activity also advances the town or supplies a needed material.
